The traditional wisdom of Ayurveda has a cure for dandruff and hair fall. According to ancient beliefs, dandruff is a complex problem of the scalp that can be prevented with the use of Ayurveda for Hair Fall and dandruff. Ayurvedic knowledge says that the reasons for each dandruff case varies.
Treatments with Ayurveda
To ensure the right dandruff treatment it is important to know the exact cause of the white flakes. You may have dry or wet dandruff. The accumulation of toxins in the deeper tissues of your scalp results in more shedding of the contaminated cells. This causes scaly and itchy scalp conditions, known as dandruff.
Using green grams is useful in treating dandruff. In place of any anti-dandruff shampoo, you can use the gram paste as a herbal alternative. Make a paste of the gram and apply it on your scalp. You may mix it with curd if you have an oily scalp. Then shampoo your hair.
Nimbuka consists of antioxidants with antibacterial and antifungal properties. The citrus lemon is rich in olive oil, fresh ginger juice, and lemon juice to fight against white flakes.
Methika is another remedy against dandruff. Known as fenugreek seeds, you have to keep them soaked in water overnight. In the morning, make it into a paste and apply it to the scalp. You may add anti-fungal herbs, such as henna, yogurt, and juice. Give your scalp a good treatment by putting the paste on it. Wash your head after sometime.
Another Ayurvedic treatment is to use Nimba. Also known as neem, this is best known for its antiviral and antifungal properties. There are three ways to use it. Either use neem oil on your scalp and then shampoo your hair the next morning or make a paste of neem in a bowl of curd and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off or make neem powder to mix it with shikakai or amla to apply on the scalp.
